"Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living." - Mary Ritter Beard
This is a personal photo story of an unforgettable trip.
It's one of those trips that you know you will forever remember. It's one of those trips that you're so afraid your memory might fail you on the little details so you have your camera ready the entire time for the small moments and real emotions.
I planned for this road trip to the USA West Coast with my four girl friends from different places overseas. These are friends from 15 years ago, one of them I actually only got to reunite with the first time in 15 years. These are friends that every time you get to see, no matter how rarely that happens, you realize that distant never sets you apart but brings you closer. These are friends that would laugh hard at your stupid jokes and cry with you (usually when some or all of you are drunk).
Together, we drove on the scenic route form Vegas to Zion Canyon National Park; we climbed the magnificent Angel's Land (where in order to save my camera I almost fell off the cliff); we joined the tour to the Lower Antelope Canyon; we waited for the sunset at Horseshoe Bend and woke up the next morning to see the sunrise over Lake Power; we were amazed by what the Grand Canyon had to offered and before we knew it hiking in this natural wonder of the world; finally before we headed to Los Angeles, we stopped by the Historic Route 66 for breakfast.
I will post a separate entry for our fun time in LA.
I hope you enjoy these images and if you need any travel tips to these places please don't hesitate to shoot me a note. I love sharing travelling insights and I definitely encourage you to visit these places.
